If you think "tee time" means a walk on the links, then you've come to the right place! Whatcom County has some of the finest public golf courses and championship-caliber private courses in Western Washington. There are 14 courses in Whatcom County - the most per capita in the state - that have earned accolades from major golf magazines and travel publications and that have hosted many pro and amateur tournaments. Many offer private lessons and golfers can play year-round, as well. Just remember that if you’re teeing off in the winter months, be prepared to get a little wet even if you can steer clear of water hazards. The courses offer a wide variety of play and nearly all of the courses offer stunning views of Mount Baker or the San Juan Islands.
